Recently, I had the pleasure of working on a project for an electrical services company, helping them create a solid online presence to attract new clients. The goal was straightforward: build a set of digital tools to showcase their expertise, tell their story, and make it easy for potential clients to trust them with their electrical needs.
I’ve not mentioned the company’s name for confidentiality reasons, as I respect their privacy. That said, let me share a bit about the work I did and how it’s all coming together.
Creating the Website
The first step in the project was building a website that would make it clear what the company does, who they are, and why they’re the right choice for electrical services. Here’s a breakdown of the key pages:
- Home Page: This is the face of the company online, so it needed to be welcoming and to the point. It highlights their services, some recent projects and offers easy ways for visitors to get in touch or request a quote.
- About Us: This page tells the company’s story and mission. Small businesses can really benefit from showing the “why” behind what they do, and in this case, it’s all about quality work, a reliable team, and customer satisfaction.
- Meet the Team: We introduced the people behind the business. It’s a great way for potential clients to get to know the team before reaching out.
- Services: Here, we detailed the full range of electrical services on offer. From small repairs to larger projects, the information is clear and easy to understand.
- Portfolio: This page showcases their past work, letting visitors see the quality of what they do. It also gives potential clients a sense of what their own projects could look like in the hands of professionals.
- Testimonials/Reviews: We included a page for client testimonials. Nothing builds trust like hearing from happy customers!
- Contact Us: An essential part of any website, this page includes all the contact details, along with a simple form for people who want to get in touch directly.
- Blog/News: To keep things fresh, we added a blog. This will allow the company to share updates, industry tips, and other content that keeps their website updated and improves their search engine ranking.
Designing a Brochure
After getting the website sorted, it was time to work on a brochure. Brochures are still an excellent marketing tool for businesses that meet clients in person. We designed the brochure to match the website, showcasing the services, introducing the team, and featuring some standout projects.
What’s Next: Social Media Setup and Management
The next step is social media. My client wants to establish profiles on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, and I’ll be handling the setup, content writing, and posting. Social media is a fantastic way for tradespeople to connect with clients, share recent projects, and build a loyal following.
I’ll also be keeping their blog updated with fresh content, so visitors will always find something new whenever they check back.
The Takeaway
If you’re just getting started online or want to refresh your current digital presence, having the right tools in place is key. A well-designed website, a professional brochure, and active social media profiles will help you showcase what you do, make your business easier to find, and build trust with potential clients.
If you need help with any of this – website setup, content creation, or social media management – I’m here to help. No jargon, no fuss, just the tools and support you need to get your business noticed online.
